The B.P. Poddar Institute of Management and Technology (BPPIMT) organised an engaging and insightful workshop on “Entrepreneurship and Innovation as Career Opportunities” under the auspices of the Institutional Innovation Council (IIC), an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The workshop was graced by renowned mentors in the field, Dr. Arnab Basu and Sauraveswar Sen, who shared their knowledge and experiences with the enthusiastic students of BBA and BCA programmes at the institute.

The workshop, held at BPPIMT’s Salt Lake Campus, Kolkata aimed to inspire and empower students to explore the dynamic world of entrepreneurship and innovation as a promising career path.

Dr. Arnab Basu, a distinguished figure in the field of entrepreneurship and co-founder of Yancha Positive Parenting, delivered an enlightening session, demystifying the behavioural traits and thinking patterns essential for entrepreneurial success. He emphasised the importance of a growth mindset, risk-taking, and the ability to embrace failure as stepping stones to innovation. By illustrating real-world examples, Dr. Basu helped the students understand how creativity and critical thinking can transform innovative ideas into thriving businesses.
